FallenWarriors.org is dedicated to showing our gratitude and support for our troops and their families by providing homes to the families of those soldiers that have given their lives for our country.
Over 2,500 sodliers, sailors, airmen, and marines have lost their lives in the service of our country since 9/11. Many of these men and women have left behind families in desperate need of a way to keep a roof over their heads. This should not be their burden alone. They have given the ultimate gift for all Americans - and there is a way to help.
Mission of Outreach
FallenWarriors.org is dedicated to showing our gratitude and support of our troops that will not be returning, by helping their families here at home. Our goal is to provide a home for those families that have also given all they can give: their father, mother, their husband or wife. With this goal in mind, FallenWarriors.org created a program for you to effortlessly make contributions every month, year after year, to a fund created to obtain homes, pay off home loans, or repair homes for the families of our fallen soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines: those brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the quality of life we all enjoy.
It's Not Just a Name
We have been asked how we came up with the name of Fallen Warriors for the Foundation, and fallenwarriors.org for our website. Actually we were considering using heroes in the name. We then received an email from a Captain, US Army Medical Corps, through his brother, while serving in Iraq. He said that when he heard about the foundation, he spoke to other members of the medical unit he belonged to; and although they thought that the idea of providing homes for the widows of the soldiers was one that "hits you in the gut", and they wanted to wholeheartedly support it, they felt that the word hero was inappropriate. He said they were soldiers doing their duty; if anything, they were fallen warriors, not fallen heroes. We finalized our name that day.
Gratitude
Wouldn't it be a blessing if every serviceman or woman serving in harms way knew that if he or she had to give his or her life to their country, that their families would be taken care of and have a home to live in forever? We hope that you will join us in our efforts to let the men and women serving in our armed forces, and their families, know that we are eternally grateful for their sacrifices. Can we do no less?
